As we approach the last of the Winter Workshops run in Benham Gallery at Cuckoo Farm now on the 9th April, I look back at the last few months of workshops. At the artists we explored, and the wonderful work undertaken by the my students in these workshops as well as some work they inspired in me as well.
After looking at a selection of Mary Fedden work, we say how she combined still life with landscapes to create her paintings so we created a giant still life set-up where people picked the objects they wanted to include…
Each person also brought from home a landscape they wanted to include in the work…size, colour, shapes, balance. Making choices and selections and putting it all together after a preliminary study to get people started. Brains were sizzling!
